We recommend beginning your application process with a visit to New School, International School of Georgia. An Admission Committee member will take you and your child on a tour of the school and all our facilities and answer any questions you may have. Please call or complete the online form to make an appointment at least two days prior to the day you wish to visit.

Admission applications are accepted throughout the school year. New School, International School of Georgia admits students whose academic, personal, social and emotional needs can be met by the school’s programmes and services. To determine if New School is able to meet the needs of your child all steps and requirements of the admission procedure must be completed and evaluated by New School’s Admission Committee (Principal, Assistant Principal, Counsellor, Office Manager, Finance Officer).

Non-native English speaker applicants that do not meet New School’s required proficiency level of English will not be admitted until they are enrolled in English Immersion Classes. Upper School applicants with an English proficiency level of below B1 must attend English Immersion Classes until they attain a B1 level. English Immersion Classes are taught at school, after school hours, at an additional cost. English Immersion Classes are an intensive support programme designed to ensure all non-native English speakers have equitable access to the academic curriculum and are included in all aspects of school life.

New School also has an English as an Additional Language (EAL) programme to support students integrate linguistically and assist them to fully participate in all academic and social activities. Students in the EAL programme receive support and specialised instruction utilising a range of resources. Collaboration between the EAL Coordinator, EAL Teacher, the student’s teachers, and parents will allow students to further develop their English language skills.

Applicants are placed into grade levels according to their date of birth (please view Placement by Age Guide below) or under the guidance of the Admission Committee that reserves the right to make appropriate and alternative class placements for the benefit of your child.

Submission of a signed application does not indicate your child’s admission to New School. Omitting pertinent information that could affect your child’s acceptance may result in the cancellation of your child’s application (disciplinary action taken at other schools, reason for departure from other schools, requirement for special education services).

For your child to be enrolled at New School, one parent/guardian must be a full-time resident of Tbilisi. If you leave the country it is your responsibility to inform the school of all appropriate contact details regarding your child’s temporary guardian during your absence by completing a Temporary Guardianship Form. This form must be completed prior to you leaving the country.

Please do not withdraw your child from their present school until they have been officially accepted by New School with a written notification.
